The RCC is teaming up with local personalities to present their brand new all-improvised monthly show series, RICHMOND FAMOUS.

Once a month, listen to true, never-before-told stories from RVA celebs. Then watch the improvisers of the Coalition rip those stories open, yank out the delicious center, and present you with a high-energy barrage of scenes and characters based on what they heard.
It’s like the UCB’s popular ASSSSCAT show, except with a much higher chance you’ll run into the guest stars at a bar the next night.

The Richmond Comedy Coalition is teaming up with local personalities to present their all-improvised monthly show series. It’s live and totally unscripted comedy created on the spot based on true stories from RVA’s most interesting people.

The improvisers will be hearing their guests’ stories for the first time onstage. What unfolds afterwards is as much a mystery to them as it is to you. All the characters, all the scenes – it’s all made up as they go along, creating a show so funny you’d swear it
was scripted (but you know it’s not).

This month, the RCC welcomes directors & creators of THE TAINT, Drew Bolduc and Dan Nelson, to the Gallery5 stage.

Filmed in Richmond, THE TAINT is Drew and Dan’s low-budget horror phenomenon that’s been winning awards at indie film festivals across the country for its over-the-top blood, body parts, and gore. It’s a future cult masterpiece that RVA can be proud (ahsamed? chagrinned?) to call its own. What will these two twisted minds come up with when the cameras stop rolling and they’re put in front of a live audience?
