Matt Newman

Matt has been with RCC since its first rehearsal in 2009. He performs with RCC’s Ensemble and Middle Management, coaches house team Karate Practice, and teaches with the RCC Training Center.

Matt spent several years in Chicago where he graduated from iO’s training center, played on an iO Harold house team and with independent ensemble The Album. He started doing improv in 1999 when he joined ComedySportz Richmond. While attending William and Mary, he performed with and directed 7th Grade Sketch Comedy and had very unruly hair. He has appeared on stage at many festivals, the furthest away of which have been in Toronto and Kalamazoo.

Matt is very excited to be performing and teaching with RCC. He is a serious professional.
